FILM REVIEW
MINORITY REPORT
This movie is about an experiment which is held in Washington, D.C. the police force called Precrime has completely neutralized murder in the city. Precrime employs three "precogs", mutated humans with precognition to view murders that occur in the future; the officers of Precrime then analyze and interpret their visions to track down and stop the murder before it happens. John(tom cruise) is chief of the force, working under its director Lamar Burgess, however, he hides the fact that he is addicted to an illegal psychoactive drug called neuroin since the disappearance of his son Sean, which also caused his wife Lara to leave him
In this movie the new technologies shown was really impressive. Many of which spoke to issues on the social implications of these technologies. One of it is the driver less cars which could be commanded by the police to deliver their occupant to the police station. Iris recognition systems which tracked the movements of all citizens. Videophones in common use. And also the spiders like robots which go through the building and use to find sought person. Also the interface of the computer where the hands are moved in front of a screen.
The thing which is not impressive is this one scene which really catches my eye and it’s been really hard to believe what I saw. The cars are already going in a very high speed to downwards from the vertical road but he is jumping from on top of the car to another car without any difficulties. This movie gives a good idea of how things will be in the future so for designers and architects. By watching this they can actually have many ideas.
