The Concept Of Place

This is the longest essay that I have read in days. i read it so many times but still having a hard time understanding what the essay is about. I have marked some quotes from the essay and tried to tell it more in my way of thinking. Well the essay is a very poetic kind of an essay so it’s hard to figure out what it is saying.
The starting of this essay Heidegger has mentioned about the technical of a mobile life.
‘The essence of the city is not place but interaction’. This is very much true of what the auther tries to express as wen the place is mobile. It is true of what the author tries to express as when the place is mobile, interaction is impossible and the place turns out boring without a community, this actually looses its intrest and importance of a certail thing.i think everything should be related to each other which is nearby, especially in this case its talking about the environment. I strongly agre with this quote.

The author then states that the world of child is evidently “egocentric”, meaning that everything is centralized or will return to the central point once it started. Everything has its central point or starting points and will always reflect back on its starting point or origin once it has started.
Here as the concept of place, the spots that we know, would be consider as a place for us, it would be a white spot in our map when we dnt know the certain places.its true this may happen to every single one. If u don’t remember a place or a area of what map in your mind (e.g. the place u live)u will be blur which is the white spot which this auther is talking about.
Modern architecture and past architectural ways are totally different.modern architecture says.”new relationship between interior and exterior space .” ,this actually explains that there should be a dividend for the exterior and interior.
There are many things that I didn’t undustand after I read it so many times but I agree most of his points of his speaking which I undustood.
FILM REVIEW
MINORITY REPORT

This movie is about an experiment which is held in Washington, D.C. the police force called Precrime has completely neutralized murder in the city. Precrime employs three "precogs", mutated humans with precognition to view murders that occur in the future; the officers of Precrime then analyze and interpret their visions to track down and stop the murder before it happens. John(tom cruise) is chief of the force, working under its director Lamar Burgess, however, he hides the fact that he is addicted to an illegal psychoactive drug called neuroin since the disappearance of his son Sean, which also caused his wife Lara to leave him
In this movie the new technologies shown was really impressive. Many of which spoke to issues on the social implications of these technologies. One of it is the driver less cars which could be commanded by the police to deliver their occupant to the police station. Iris recognition systems which tracked the movements of all citizens. Videophones in common use. And also the spiders like robots which go through the building and use to find sought person. Also the interface of the computer where the hands are moved in front of a screen.
The thing which is not impressive is this one scene which really catches my eye and it’s been really hard to believe what I saw. The cars are already going in a very high speed to downwards from the vertical road but he is jumping from on top of the car to another car without any difficulties. This movie gives a good idea of how things will be in the future so for designers and architects. By watching this they can actually have many ideas.

My childhood

My childhood moments that lead to architecture
There are not any exacting childhood moments which lead to architecture. But the thing is I am terrible in studies. I always get just a pass or a fail in most of the subjects, except Art. I always have a good interest in any kind of drawings or a painting, basically anything related to Art and that’s the only thing that I can score well.

Why did I choose Architecture?
Ok. I thought in architecture there isn’t much to study. Well that’s what I thought. That’s the main reason why I decided to choose architecture and also as I mentioned before I like Art. Art and Architecture is very much related

Best and worst experiences studying Architecture
the best experience studying architecture is going on field trips and site visits because that’s the only time we can run away from studies and can enjoy a bit. When an assignment dead line is getting close and also during the exam days, we don’t sleep even we don’t eat well. These days are the worst of the worst days throughout the semester. I have to say assignments and exams are totally bad for health.
